CHURCH HEATING

Offenham Church is undertaking a major project to replace the ancient oil-fired heating system with eco-friendly electric heating.  We will then need to remove the old boiler and asbestos from the boiler room and make the area safe.

This project started in 2022 with an assessment of our heating needs.  In 2024 the electricity supply was upgraded to 3-phase, and in August 2026 9 'no-glare' electric heaters were installed in the church.  So far the project has cost £22,500 and we have raised £15,700 in grants and donations.  Then new system was functional in time for winter 2026 thanks to the Friends of Offenham Church who covered the installation costs.

We still need to raise £6,000 to cover our costs to date.  Offenham PCC would like to thank everyone who has already made a donation, your generosity is inspiring.  We appreciate that times are hard and people are thinking carefully about donating to charity, and we may not be your choice.  However, if you would like to make a donation you can do so in the following ways:
By Cheque:  payable to Offenham PCC.  You can give it to any member of the PCC or send to the treasurer (Claire Penny, Mock Morris, Boat Lane, Offenham, WR11 8QZ).  Please write ‘church heating’ on the back of the cheque.

By Internet Banking:  Please use the following details
Account Name      St Mary & St Milburgh, Offenham PCC
                Sort Code             08-92-99
                Account Number 67465866
                Reference             Heating

If you would like to Gift Aid your donation please complete a Gift Aid form which can be found at the back of the church or downloaded from here.

Any money raised in this appeal will be restricted to this fund.  In the event that there is money remaining after the entire project is finished this will be held in the restricted Fabric Fund which pays for emergency and general maintenance of the fabric of the building.

If you have any questions please contact Claire ([email protected]  07903 963233), or ask a member of the PCC.
